Overview
DB10 was a project commissioned by Dennis Bergkamp to create a digital platform that reflected his legacy as one of football’s most iconic players, while also supporting the launch of a limited-edition fashion collaboration with designer Antonia Bronze. The challenge was to balance storytelling with functionality, building a website that honoured his career while operating as a seamless e-commerce experience.
Approach
I began by working closely with the client to understand his story, legacy, and the emotional significance behind the project. From this, I developed a clear creative direction that translated both his identity and the fashion collaboration into a cohesive visual language.
I led the brand identity development, creating the logo, colour system, and typography that became the foundation of the entire experience. Using these guidelines, I designed the full website interface, structuring both the storytelling journey and the online store to feel consistent, intuitive, and visually aligned.
Execution
The interface was designed using Adobe Illustrator and Figma, where I developed the full UI system, including layouts, visual hierarchy, and key design elements. I then worked closely with developers to ensure accurate translation of the design into build, supporting the implementation across Shopify for the e-commerce experience and Vercel for deployment and performance.
The platform was structured to serve two purposes: to showcase Bergkamp’s career through a visual narrative and to enable the sale of 100 handcrafted leather-and-cashmere jackets inspired by his legacy.
Outcome
The website generated over 20,000 clicks and 4,000 subscribers within the first two weeks of launch, validating both the design direction and campaign execution. The project successfully translated a personal legacy into a digital experience that resonated with users while supporting a high-demand product launch.
